Job summary

VDL TBP Electronics in the Netherlands seeks an Operational Buyer to secure daily material availability for production. You will translate stand-up priorities into concrete supplier actions, place and monitor purchase orders, and chase delivery dates to prevent shortages.

You collaborate across departments, maintain supplier master data, support production procurement, and communicate with suppliers and clients.

Qualifications

• MBO+/HBO level education or higher.
• 1–2 years of experience as an operational buyer.
• Strong communication in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Willing to learn and develop in purchasing.
• Affinity for technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement needs for the production process.
• Place, monitor and chase purchase orders and delivery dates.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve material shortages.
• Maintain supplier master data and provide system data for purchasing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
