Damen Shipyards Group, specifically its Damen Shiprepair division in Schiedam, seeks a Legal Counsel to act as a trusted business partner on strategic and contractual matters. The role is predominantly on-site, with limited remote work possibilities, and involves advising on shiprepair, conversion and offshore projects across cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will draft and negotiate contracts, manage risk, and collaborate with project managers, procurement, and compliance teams

Formación

• 2-5 years of experience in contract law, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong written and oral English communication.
• Intercultural communication and negotiation skills are valued.

Responsabilidades

• Provide pragmatic legal and contractual advice throughout project lifecycles.
• Lead review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements including ship repair contracts and NDAs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and applicable laws; support management on risk and contract matters.
