Job summary

Boskalis in Papendrecht is seeking an Electronic Technician to maintain and service our ships' dynamic positioning systems, hydrographic, surveying, instrumentation, and ICT equipment onboard to ensure accurate information for operations.

You will sometimes guide technicians remotely using smart glasses or travel to the vessel to solve complex issues. A self-sufficient, proactive hands-on approach will help you meet the challenges of our specialized equipment across international projects.

Qualifications

• Mechatronics qualification MBO Level 4/HBO level or equivalent.
• Experience in maritime electronics or mechatronics environments is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and data transfer protocols.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and ICT Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute installation activities on electrical and instrumentation systems, hydrographic, and nautical instruments.
• Diagnose issues and follow up on necessary work to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work in relevant systems and logbooks.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance and repair policies and procedures for all electronic and E&I systems onboard.
• Synchronize all operational and control systems onboard, including power electronics and PLC technology, and ensure compliance with international standards.
