Job Description:

Nurse (holding the functional title of Research Nurse) in Community Child Health in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 531957) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have clinical and research experience, preferably in working with young children and their families. They should also have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Cantonese, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.

The appointee will collaborate with members across disciplines to deliver a large-scale school- and community-based multidisciplinary project on comprehensive early childhood intervention in disadvantaged areas in Hong Kong. He/She is expected to perform a wide spectrum of work including but not limited to health assessments and education, programme design, train-the-trainer, data management and administrative tasks. Irregular working hours including working on weekends/holidays may be required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
