For the Refugee Company Foundation’s Re-start Program, in which newcomers participate in a traineeship in the kitchen and front-of-house at the restaurant A Beautiful Mess, we are looking for an enthusiastic NT2 instructor from Arnhem or the surrounding area.
You will teach engaging and practical classes in a workplace setting using the Alternative Ways method at Rozet in Arnhem. Initially, this will involve one half-day per week—consisting of preparation, a two-hour class, and wrap-up—for one class group.
You have teaching experience and are open to an alternative and playful approach. You enjoy helping participants speak and understand Dutch in an accessible way, and you’re eager to help boost their self-confidence and make learning fun for them.
We offer you a short, intensive training course in the Alternative Ways method. You’ll observe our classes in Amsterdam a few times so you can get to know the method in practice.
Once you get started, you’ll receive ongoing support from an experienced Alternative Ways instructor. You’ll also work directly with instructors who teach hard and soft skills classes, as well as volunteers who can provide support during the classes.
Our trainees come from all over the world and are at various stages of their asylum and integration processes. It is a diverse group of about 25 participants.
Through this traineeship, Refugee Company offers newcomers the opportunity to gain work experience in the hospitality industry, develop new skills, and reflect on their future in a safe and welcoming environment.
