Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is offering a hands-on Purchasing Data Analytics Intern – NPD in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, within the Global Supply Chain Management team.

You will collect, clean, and analyze purchasing data tied to new product development projects to help understand supplier costs and enable better early cost decisions. You will work with Buyers, NPD, and Strategic Purchasing to improve data quality, create simple dashboards, and support cost-focused initiatives across the NPD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business, Data Analytics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load).
• Familiar with Power BI, Power Query, DAX, VBA/macros; ETL processes a plus.
• Detail-oriented, structured, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
• Comfortable working with different teams and following up on open actions.
• Strong initiative, ownership, and collaboration; interested in purchasing, cost analysis, data, and new product development.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and cleaning purchasing data from internal systems.
• Supporting analysis of supplier quotations, current prices, target costs, and cost differences.
• Identifying missing or incorrect data in NPD projects.
• Creating simple reports and dashboards to show cost gaps, quote status, and open actions.
• Supporting the NPD team with clear data for feedback to Strategic Purchasing.
• Working with Buyers, NPD, and Strategic Purchasing teams to follow up on supplier and cost information.
• Improving Excel files, Power BI reports, templates, and other tracking tools.
• VBA/macros, DAX and POWERQUERY usage will be a plus.
• Supporting cost-focused projects to enable earlier purchasing decisions in NPD.
