Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited seeks a Network Security Engineer for a contract project with a food manufacturing client. You will implement and deploy Cisco ASA, FirePOWER, and Palo Alto firewalls across multiple sites, focusing on fast delivery and secure, segmented networks.

The role requires hands-on execution and collaboration with a six-person project team. Based in the Netherlands with English fluency, Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, FirePOWER, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Comfortable stepping into an active project already in the implementation phase.
• Solid experience in network segmentation and firewall rule building.
• Strong firewall troubleshooting and configuration skills.
• Medior-level, hands-on, and delivery-focused experience rather than design-led.
• Practical, get-it-done approach.
• Based in the Netherlands.
• Fluent in English.
• Dutch is a nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Work across approximately 7–8 Palo Alto sites, with a smaller number of Cisco firewall environments
• Build firewall rules and security policies based on completed high-level and low-level designs
• Handle network segmentation as part of the client's new network build
• Support ongoing firewall changes, troubleshooting, and configuration activities
• Secure endpoints and understand traffic flows across the environment
• Work closely with the existing project team to keep implementation on track for the Christmas deadline

The company is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join a contract project for a food manufacturing client, running through to the end of the year. The role involves hands‑on implementation of firewall security policies across a live, multi‑site environment, working with Cisco SDA and a mix of Cisco and Palo Alto technologies as part of a six‑person project team.
