Job summary

ING Bank in Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to translate business requirements into secure, scalable network solutions and drive design through implementation.

You will work in an Agile environment with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and cloud migration activities, delivering on a 36-hour workweek hybrid model and a one-year contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Network/Security Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or F5.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs and network security.
• Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Desirable Infoblox IPAM/DNS experience.
• Previous ING experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and security solutions.
• Configure Palo Alto/Panorama and F5 LTM/GTM.
• Implement firewall policies, NAT, zones, VIPs, pools.
• Support VPN connectivity, routing, ACLs and network segmentation.
• Support migrations, lifecycle management and new functionality.

For ING Bank we are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer who can translate business requirements into secure and scalable network solutions and take ownership from design through implementation.

What will you do?

• Design and implement network and security solutions based on business requirements
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto/Panorama and/or F5 LTM/GTM
• Implement firewall policies, NAT, zones, VIPs, pools, health monitors and related network changes
• Implement and support VPN connectivity, routing, ACLs and network segmentation
• Support migrations, Lifecycle Management (LCM) and new functionality
• Troubleshoot incidents and contribute to root cause analysis
• Work within Agile teams using Azure DevOps backlogs
• Coordinate controlled changes through ServiceNow
• Maintain runbooks and audit-compliant technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Network/Security Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or F5
• Ability to combine solution design with hands-on implementation
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VPNs and network security
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Infoblox IPAM/DNS is a nice-to-have
• Previous experience within ING is a strong advantage
