Position Overview

As a TAR Manager on an ALBI site, you will manage and coordinate a Turn Around (shutdown for maintenance) cycle, from preparation to execution and capitalization, across sites including Botlek (Rotterdam) and Antwerp, where H2, CO, CO₂, O₂, N₂, Ar, syngas, steam and electricity are produced.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept scope, plan project timelines and track milestones.
• Lead work preparation and ordering (excluding procurement organization responsibilities).
• Plan and direct outages, maintain financial control over orders and extra work commitments.
• Lead outage capitalization: wrap‑up and document completion.
• Drive scope delivery: organize sessions for scope evaluation, validation and produce a comprehensive scope overview per technical discipline.
• Define timelines and resource allocation for the TAR organization with stakeholders.
• Detail work and prepare bid packages for RFQ.
• Manage materials and services ordering, provide detailed orders in the Procurement System (WISE).
• Prepare on‑site requirements such as temporary facilities and gate entry.
• Monitor and control timely delivery of components against the plan.
• Ensure scope representation in CMMS (MAXIMO) and establish required workforce.
• Facilitate issue clarification to transform scope into work packages.
• Monitor progress and quality of all prepared works.
• Discuss technical content, practical implications and solutions with material and service providers.
• During execution, monitor progress and quality, initiate follow‑up for ad‑hoc issues, and validate additional works within a predetermined cost level.
• Control crew active hours, manage overtime.
• Organize and lead daily progress meetings with the site and technical experts.
• Capitalize and wrap up: close all work‑orders in CMMS, define follow‑up work orders, digitize reports, checklists, punchlists and certificates.
• Complete financial closure at the order level, including extra works approved.

Collaborators

• Internally: asset managers, AL experts, site teams (maintenance, operations), SHEQ teams, operations support engineers.
• Externally: General G&M contractors, OEMs, material suppliers, service and resource suppliers, technical specialists, safety officers.

Location & Travel

This position can be based anywhere within the North & Central Europe cluster and requires frequent travel to the Benelux.

Profile & Personal Attributes

We look for a safety‑mindful manager, a technical all‑rounder who is autonomous, decisive, stress‑resistant, well‑organized, analytical, and proactive when encountering blocking points.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor level of education.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in Turn Around and/or project management.
• Project management skills and cost & budget control skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance information software (Maximo, MS Project, MS Office).
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or German is an asset.
