Job summary

WLG is replacing a legacy network with a modern private cloud, operating across twenty-plus locations and managed by a small, integrated team. The architect will maintain coherence between design, governance, and automation, guiding multiple teams and ensuring secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership on VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX-T, Cisco ACI, and automation with Ansible, Terraform and Jenkins, with on-site work in The Hague part of a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Extensive solution architecture experience in large private cloud deployments.
• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX-T and Cisco ACI.
• Hands-on IaC and automation with Ansible, Terraform and pipelines.
• Experience writing architecture decision records and interface control documents.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate private cloud design, identify gaps and risks.
• Provide design guidance to infra and platform teams.
• Define architecture decision records with traceability.
• Define interface control documents and maintain interface register.
• Coordinate between cyber security and infra teams (CyberArk, cert lifecycles, security monitoring).
• Chair joint design sessions and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Validate infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins.
• Define target operating model for automation and IaC.
• Help cloud operating teams build automation skills.
