Job summary

WLG is seeking a senior architect to replace a legacy classified network with a modern private cloud, spanning 20+ locations and 20k–50k users. You will steer architecture and governance for the air-gapped cloud and lead automation adoption across teams, with hands-on validation of IaC, and PCI/security coordination.

The role requires chairing design sessions, maintaining interface control documents, and guiding teams in Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and CyberArk-based security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting large private cloud estates, preferably air-gapped.
• Proven ability to review designs, identify gaps and enforce governance.
• Hands-on familiarity with IaC and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate private cloud design documents, flag gaps and risks.
• Provide design guidance to infrastructure and platform teams during delivery.
• Create architecture decision records with full traceability.
• Define interfaces between cloud and services and maintain a change-controlled register.
• Coordinate between cyber security and infrastructure teams on PAM, certs, and monitoring.
• Chair design sessions and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Oversee infrastructure automation validation using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins.
• Define target operating model for automation and IaC, and document transition.
• Help cloud operating teams develop automation skills.
