Job summary

Wlgroup seeks an experienced requirements engineer to support a major defence programme with relocation to Norfolk, Virginia, under NATO-5 visa provisions. The role focuses on gathering, managing, and tracing capability and technical requirements, while ensuring compliance with security policies and governance structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher.
• At least three of the last ten years in requirements engineering, covering both management and elicitation.
• Capability development experience, ideally under a common-funded governance model.
• Capability development on communications or infrastructure programmes in classified environments.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM Rational DOORS.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and updating the requirements management and benefits realisation plans as the capability develops.
• Keeping the security policy, documentation and classification guidance current.
• Engaging stakeholders and users at political, operational and tactical level to identify requirements and policy developments.
• Working with the requirements and quality assurance branches so the programme stays aligned with organisational best practice.
• Owning the benefits realisation strand as management products are produced and projects land.
• Developing measurable capability acceptance criteria with agencies, stakeholders and end users.
• Tracking technical requirements with agencies and host nations, keeping validity and traceability intact.
• Authoring the relevant sections of the capability programme plans.
• Managing every output in the requirements management system.
