Job summary

Green Boy Group in Amsterdam is seeking an organized Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payment operations across our group entities, with exposure to international, multi-currency finance from day one.

You’ll work with colleagues in Amsterdam and Los Angeles, joining a small team and handling independent accounting tasks while receiving guidance on complex matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance administration.
• Solid grasp of accounting principles, including Dutch GAAP; US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP and MS Office.
• Fluent English communication and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable—invoices, payments, receipts, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain documentation and supporting evidence for accounting transactions and reporting.
• Liaise with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and accounting queries.
• Manage the group's weekly payment run and support cash flow forecasting.
• Support the monthly close—reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and balance-sheet reviews.
• Help prepare for external audits by compiling schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Follow accounting policies and internal controls, and flag discrepancies or risks to the senior finance controller.
• Spot practical process improvements and help keep finance operations running smoothly.
• Prepare accurate, on-time VAT and ICP returns in line with Dutch tax requirements.
