Qualifications

What does a Mortgage Advisor Local do?

As a Mortgage Advisor Local, you will help clients finance their housing needs. You will be part of our dynamic team of Mortgage Advisors within ING Wonen, you will work from an ING House on location (Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht or Eindhoven) as well as from home.

You will work intensively with your colleagues from various advisory teams to make our clients' housing dreams come true. Helping as many homebuyers as possible to move forward sustainably in their home journey, where digital convenience and 'human touch' go hand in hand. This is what we work on every day with great passion.

What does your work look like?

As a Mortgage Advisor, you help (potential) customers to make the right choices at that important moment. This requires the right expertise and qualifications, but your commercial advisory skills and competencies really make the difference. After all, mortgage advice goes beyond just the right financing and offers starting points to expand the conversation to topics such as financial health and sustainability. An advisory consultation often leads to taking out insurance, putting a (potential) client in touch with a Financial Coach for our digital proposition, or a colleague from the Investment, Private Banking or Business Advisory teams.

As a mortgage advisor, you will:

• Conduct exploratory conversations with clients, calculate maximum mortgage amounts, and discuss the associated costs
• Provide personalized advice on mortgage types, terms, and interest rates based on customers' financials and preferences
• Advise on insurance, discuss sustainability opportunities , and promote customers' financial health
• Prepare advisory reports and act as the main point of contact throughout the mortgage process
• Actively participate in ING's internal and external network, contribute to customer acquisition and maintain relationships

What is your profile?

To be successful in this role, we ask:

• Relevant WFT diplomas and a bachelor's or master's degree
• At least 5 years of commercial experience in (financial) advice
• You have excellent skills in networking and make contact easily.
• You can build and maintain a network relationship
• Excellent command of the Dutch language and strong communication skills
• Ability to provide remote and face-to-face advice, leveraging video calls and ING Houses
• A passion for continuous personal growth
