Job summary

TOP The Onion Group in the Netherlands is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep machines and lines running smoothly. You perform maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to improvements in the production process. The role requires a hands-on mindset, a relevant MBO diploma, and at least four years of experience.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, work 40 hours weekly, and enjoy a supportive, informal work environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• You have technical insight and a hands-on mentality.
• You hold an MBO diploma in the field of engineering/technique.
• You have at least four years of relevant work experience.
• You are mechanically oriented and understand electrical aspects (preferred).
• You work goal‑oriented, find solutions, and can work independently or with colleagues.
• You are accurate, stay organized, and handle stress well.
• You communicate effectively and are available for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines and installations perform optimally; perform maintenance and diagnose faults.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot product lines as needed.
• Inspect installations, follow maintenance schedules, and log issues in the maintenance system.
• Collaborate with production and technical colleagues to keep processes smooth.
• Contribute ideas for technical improvements and work with the team to implement them.
