Job summary

416 Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam B.V. is seeking an Electrical Installation Technician to diagnose and repair installations on the shipyard, including cranes and distribution cabinets. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and relevant educational qualifications.

The position offers a salary of €3,500 to €4,500 per month, with 27 vacation days, holiday pay, and a travel allowance. Flexible working hours including evenings or weekends may apply.

About the company

Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam works on diverse ship types up to 250m, operating on a dynamic shipyard with a multi‑national team.

About the role

As an Electrical Installation Technician you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing a range of installations on the shipyard. This includes cranes, pump systems, compressors, distribution cabinets, walstroom connections, welding machines, and hand tools.

Key accountabilities

• Maintain equipment and control for wear, damage and safety.
• Follow safety, arbo and environmental procedures.
• Report on performed work.
• Repair faults mechanically and electrically; involve third parties in consultation if complex.

Requirements

• MBO work and thinking level.
• Education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2years experience as a fault technician in a technical, distribution or production environment.
• Possession of VCAVol or ability to obtain it.
• Full‑time availability and flexible willingness to work evenings or weekends.
