Job summary

ALTEN is seeking experienced Simulation Engineers in the Netherlands to develop and validate Modelica/Dymola-based models of complex onboard equipment. You will conduct system-level simulations to support design decisions, performance analysis, and verification in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Modelica and Dymola.
• Experience in physical system modeling and simulation.
• Strong understanding of system dynamics and control engineering.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Ability to independently develop, validate, and troubleshoot simulation models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain simulation models in Dymola/Modelica.
• Model complex physical systems across mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, electrical, and control domains.
• Perform simulation studies and analyze system behavior.
• Validate models against test data and requirements.
• Support system design, integration, and verification activities.
• Collaborate with system architects, design engineers, and control engineers.
• Produce technical documentation and reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of modeling methodologies.
