Space'M Online BV is seeking a freelance SEO Specialist to drive organic growth for multiple ecommerce brands. You will not only execute but also refine playbooks, collaborating with senior strategists and founders.

In your first months, focus on SEO content creation and optimisation, while offering input to improve processes and flag issues across projects. This remote role demands 32–40 hours per week, with start as soon as possible (preferably 1 September).

Qualifications

• Fluent Dutch is a must; comfortable in English for internal communications.
• Minimum 2 years of SEO experience; agency experience preferred.
• Hands-on Shopify and CMS experience (WordPress also familiar).
• Able to plan, brief, and produce SEO content that ranks and converts.
• Approach keyword research with search intent, not just lists of keywords.
• Proficient with SEO data tools (GSC, Ahrefs, Semrush).
• Experience with AI in content creation; Claude experience is a plus.
• Strong on-page fundamentals: headings, internal linking, meta data.

We are scaling fast, and we need a Mid-Level SEO Specialist who's hungry to grow and contribute at a strategic level. This is a freelance role, minimum 32 hours per week and preferably 40, fully remote. We\'re looking to start as soon as possible, preferably 1 September.

Your Mission - Execution, Growth, & Ownership

As a freelance SEO Specialist at Space'M Online, you\'re the engine behind our clients\' organic growth. You won\'t just follow playbooks, you\'ll sharpen them. You\'ll collaborate with our senior strategists and founders.

In your first months, the focus is SEO content creation and optimisation. We expect you to give input on improving that process, and the ones around it, straight away, and to flag other issues you spot in the projects we run.

Your Deliverables:

• Client Execution: Delivering high-quality SEO work that directly contributes to organic growth targets.
• Autonomous Execution: You work independently and proactively, spotting opportunities and solving problems without needing to be steered.
• Content & AI Mastery: Producing SEO-driven content at scale using AI tools, efficiently and at a quality that sets the standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executing SEO Strategies: Implement technical, on-page, and off-page SEO plans for ambitious E-commerce brands across NL, DE, UK, and beyond.
• AI-Powered Content Creation: Produce high-quality, search-optimised content using AI tools (we work heavily with Claude), from briefs to publication-ready output.
• Keyword Research & Clustering: Build keyword sets and clusters from search intent rather than from keywords alone.
• On-Page SEO: Heading structures, internal linking, SEO titles, meta descriptions, and everything else that makes a page earn its position.
• Technical SEO Support: Support our senior specialists on technical audits, flag the issues you spot in the projects you run, and implement straightforward fixes yourself in Shopify, WordPress, and other content management systems.
• Reporting & Analysis: Turn data into clear, actionable insights for clients and project leads.
• Collaboration: Work alongside senior specialists, link builders, and freelancers to ensure every deliverable meets the Space'M Standard.
• Process Improvement: Flag inefficiencies and suggest better tools, workflows, or approaches. Initiative is valued.

The Profile

• An Ambitious Executor. We aren\'t looking for someone who just ticks boxes. We want someone with fire.
• Dutch-Speaking: Fluent Dutch is a must, since we write NL content for a lot of our clients. You also need to be comfortable in English, because all internal communication runs in English.
• Minimum 2 Years of SEO Experience: Preferably agency experience across different projects and niches. You understand how search engines think and how businesses grow through organic.
• Shopify & CMS Experience: Hands-on experience with Shopify is a must, and you find your way around other content management systems such as WordPress just as easily.
• SEO Content Creation & Optimisation: You know how to plan, brief, and produce SEO content that ranks and converts, and how to improve what\'s already live.
• Search-Intent Driven: You approach keyword research and clustering from intent, not from a list of keywords.
• Data & Research Tools: You work confidently in Google Search Console and in a keyword research and rank tracking tool such as Ahrefs or Semrush, and you know how to turn that data into decisions.
• AI-Native: Solid experience with AI models: prompting, verifying output, and steering it where needed. We\'re looking for someone who uses AI as a tool, not someone who outsources the thinking to it. That part stays human work. Experience with Claude (Claude Skills, Claude Projects) is a plus.
• On-Page Fundamentals: Heading structures, internal linking, SEO titles, meta descriptions, the lot.
• Ownership Mentality: You pick up tasks independently and fairly quickly, and you can explain the reasoning behind your choices. When something isn\'t working, you don\'t wait to be told. You flag it, fix it, or propose an alternative.

Nice to have:

• Basic experience with Screaming Frog.
• Basic knowledge of technical SEO.
• Experience with e-commerce SEO specifically, ideally for international webshops.
