Job summary

University Medical Center Groningen is recruiting an ANIOS physician for the Department of Anesthesiology in Groningen, the Netherlands. The position is a one-year contract for 0.8-1.0 FTE (36-46 hours per week) with a published gross monthly salary of €4,642-€6,393 under CAO UMC scale 11A depending on experience.

After induction, the physician works across outpatient and preoperative assessment pathways, consultations, PACU and operating room.

Qualifications

• Completed or nearly completed medical degree and BIG-registration.
• Affinity with acute and/or perioperative specialties.
• Learning orientation, flexibility and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients scheduled for surgery and determine anesthetic approach.
• Support preoperative assessments for emergency inpatients.
• Place peripheral and central lines in PACU as described by the vacancy.
• Develop airway-management and haemodynamic-monitoring skills under supervision.
• Participate in teaching, portfolio development and mentoring.
