Job summary

Kyndryl Nederland zoekt een ervaren Windows Infrastructure Specialist om Windows-omgevingen te beheren, optimaliseren en beveiligen. Je werkt aan automatisering, patch management en lifecycle management, en ondersteunt teams bij complexe vraagstukken binnen een hybride infrastructuur.

Je rapporteert aan de infrastructuurafdeling en werkt nauw samen met security en operations teams om continue beschikbaarheid en compliance te waarborgen.

Qualifications

• HBO work and thinking level with ICT background.
• Experience in Windows and/or infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience managing virtual infrastructures (Nutanix, VMware and/or Hyper‑V).
• Experience with Windows Server lifecycle management (images, versions, upgrades, migrations).
• Knowledge of PowerShell; Ansible or similar automation tools preferred.
• Strong drive to automate, standardize and simplify management tasks.
• Familiar with ITIL 4 and incident/change/problem management.
• Technical knowledge of data center and infrastructure environments; cloud/hybrid experience is a plus.
• Analytical, independent, responsible for quality and continuity of Windows infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimize Windows systems and platforms.
• Ensure a stable, reliable, secure Windows infrastructure and monitor availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Contribute to projects and improvement initiatives (e.g., automated VM deployment, RBAC, IaC).
• Analyze and resolve incidents, outages and technical problems and implement sustainable solutions.
• Assist users and colleagues in identifying and solving incidents and security vulnerabilities.
• Execute technical changes and guide changes in accordance with governance and security policies.
• Maintain Windows environments in terms of configuration, hardening, security, logging, monitoring and access control.
• Monitor performance and availability, analyze trends and propose improvements.
• Contribute to architecture and development of Windows platform and advise IT infrastructure teams on complex issues.
• Handle Life Cycle Management; ensure timely upgrades, migrations or decommissioning.
• Oversee and maintain Windows patch management including security and regular updates.

The Role

• Je beheert, onderhoudt en optimaliseert Windows-systemen en -platformen binnen de organisatie
• Je zorgt voor een stabiele, betrouwbare en veilige Windows-infrastructuur en monitort actief de beschikbaarheid, performance, capaciteit en security
• Je draagt bij aan projecten en verbeterinitiatieven, zoals geautomatiseerde VM-deployment, RBAC, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) en verdere automatisering van beheerprocessen
• Je analyseert en verhelpt incidenten, storingen en technische problemen en zorgt waar mogelijk voor structurele oplossingen
• Je ondersteunt gebruikers en collega’s bij het identificeren en oplossen van incidenten en beveiligingskwetsbaarheden binnen het Windows-platform
• Je voert technische wijzigingen uit en begeleid changes binnen de infrastructuur volgens de geldende beheer- en securityrichtlijnen
• Je beheert en onderhoudt Windows-omgevingen op het gebied van configuratie, hardening, security, logging, monitoring en toegangsbeheer
• Je bewaakt de performance en beschikbaarheid van de Windows-infrastructuur, analyseert trends en knelpunten en komt actief met verbetervoorstellen
• Je draagt bij aan de architectuur en verdere ontwikkeling van het Windows-platform en adviseert IT-infrastructuurteams bij complexere technische vraagstukken
• Je geeft invulling aan Life Cycle Management en zorgt ervoor dat systemen tijdig worden geüpgraded, gemigreerd of uitgefaseerd
• Je verzorgt en onderhoudt het patchmanagement voor Windows-systemen, waarbij je security-updates en reguliere updates plant, test en implementeert
• Je voert OS-versie-upgrades en migraties uit en zorgt ervoor dat Windows-systemen ondersteund, veilig en compliant blijven
• Je draagt bij aan het verder automatiseren van beheerwerkzaamheden en maakt hierbij gebruik van relevante Microsoft- en automatiseringstooling
• Je werkt mee aan standaardisatie en verdere professionalisering van het Windows-beheer en draagt actief bij aan een schaalbare en beheersbare infrastructuur

Who You Are Vereist

• Je hebt HBO werk- en denkniveau en bij voorkeur een afgeronde opleiding in de richting van ICT
• Je hebt relevante werkervaring in een vergelijkbare functie binnen Windows- en/of infrastructuurbeheer
• Je hebt aantoonbare kennis en ervaring met Windows Server-omgevingen, waaronder Active Directory en Group Policy
• Je hebt ervaring met het beheren van virtuele infrastructuren, bijvoorbeeld op basis van Nutanix, VMware en/of Hyper‑V
• Je hebt ervaring met Windows Server lifecycle management, waaronder het beheren van images, versies, upgrades en migraties
• Je hebt kennis van en ervaring met PowerShell en bij voorkeur ook met Ansible of vergelijkbare automatiseringstooling
• Je hebt een sterke drive om beheerwerkzaamheden te automatiseren, standaardiseren en vereenvoudigen
• Je hebt kennis van ITIL 4 en begrijpt de principes van incident-, change- en problemmanagement
• Je beschikt over vaktechnische kennis van datacenter- en infrastructuuromgevingen en hebt bij voorkeur ervaring met cloud- en hybride infrastructuren
• Je bent analytisch sterk, werkt zelfstandig en neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor de kwaliteit en continuïteit van de Windows-infrastructuur
• Je bent bereid om je kennis continu verder te ontwikkelen en nieuwe technologieën eigen te maken

Gewenst

• Je beschikt over relevante Microsoft-certificeringen, zoals Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, of vergelijkbare certificeringen/kennis
• Je hebt basiskennis van Agile/Scrum en ervaring met werken in een Agile omgeving
• Je hebt enige kennis en ervaring met Linux-omgevingen
• Je hebt ervaring met Infrastructure as Code (IaC) en/of Configuration Management
• Je hebt kennis van security- en hardeningprincipes binnen Windows- en infrastructuuromgevingen
• Je hebt ervaring met monitoring, logging en performance-analyse van infrastructuur
