Qualifications

About this positionTNO is a leading research and technology organization focused on innovation in defense and security. What will be your role?

As a Software Engineer, you will work in a motivated team developing sonar applications used aboard naval ships. You will translate research results into robust C++ software, support the modernization of the Dutch naval fleet, and collaborate closely with Navy software engineers. Strict quality standards and extensive testing are essential aspects of the role.

Your responsibilities include:

What we expect from youRequired Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and a structured way of working.
  • Excellent commandment of both Dutch and English language verbally and in writing (minimum C1 level).

  • Interest in defense, maritime technology, or high-tech software development.

The selection process

Please apply before the 8th of September 2026. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
