Job summary

Vertico seeks an experienced Medior/Senior Mechatronics Engineer to design, develop, and integrate the control architecture behind our robotic 3D concrete printing platforms. You will handle motion control, machine logic, remote diagnostics, and intelligent system behavior to advance industrial automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Medior or Senior-level experience in mechatronics, industrial automation or control engineering.
• Strong experience with PLC/IPC programming and control software development within Beckhoff TwinCAT or similar.
• Familiarity with EtherCAT, OPC-UA or kinematics is a plus.
• Experience designing industrial HMI applications.
• Solid software development skills, including Python.
• Good IT knowledge: VPNs, remote connectivity, diagnostics, updates and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain machine control software for advanced robotic systems.
• Develop PLC, IPC, and motion control applications within Beckhoff TwinCAT.
• Create and optimize HMI interfaces focused on usability and operator experience.
• Integrate software, robotics, sensors, drives, and peripherals into cohesive platforms.
• Develop tools and automation workflows using Python.
• Support commissioning, testing, debugging and performance optimization, remotely and on-site.
• Implement remote connectivity, diagnostics, software deployment and update strategies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, robotics and process engineering teams.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve software quality and maintainability.
