Job summary

BlueAlp, a fast-growing climate technology company, is expanding its Mechanical Engineering team in Eindhoven as it accelerates plastic recycling. We seek a Junior/Medior Mechanical Engineer who will translate our technology into robust, buildable installations.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will work on piping systems, structural steel and mechanical equipment, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or comparable technical discipline.
• 0–5+ years of experience in mechanical design within the process industry or industrial installations.
• Solid knowledge of piping systems, structural steel and pressure vessels.
• Experience with design reviews and engineering change management.
• Familiarity with EN, ASME, PED standards and codes.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Dutch language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical engineering activities for piping systems, structural steel and mechanical equipment.
• Producing and maintaining layouts, detail drawings, piping isometrics (ISO’s), fabrication drawings, and as built documentation.
• Reviewing, checking, producing and modifying mechanical and construction drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and buildability.
• Contributing to and reviewing mechanical strength and design calculations in line with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Ensuring mechanical designs comply with applicable regulations, norms and internal engineering guidelines.
• Supporting fabrication, construction and commissioning by providing clear, timely and complete engineering deliverables.
• Safeguarding documentation quality, revision control and engineering data consistency.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering workflows, tools and standards.
• Staying up to date with developments in mechanical engineering methods, standards and technologies.
