Job summary

Nedap MediKIT is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to shape the patient record domain and own backend components. You will work in a small, empowered team, collaborating closely with frontend, UX and domain experts to build a scalable backend using Kotlin and Python.

The Nedap MediKIT team operates in a hybrid setup with regular in-person collaboration in Groenlo, Nijmegen and Utrecht, and a culture that emphasizes innovation, ownership and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java or Python.
• Experience in building scalable backend systems.
• Professional English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with AI in the development workflow is a plus.
• Familiarity with Azure, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL (JSONB), React and TypeScript is valuable.
• Full-stack experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend components for the Nedap MediKIT backend.
• Improve scalability and performance of the MediKIT backend as the product grows.
• Strengthen backend architecture and development pipeline.
• Collaborate with UX designers, frontend and domain experts to deliver integrated platform.
• Participate in an open, learning-oriented team culture with initiative and improvements.
