Albert Heijn is hiring a Medior Kotlin Developer to reshape our tech landscape across the Stores domain. You will join a hybrid team delivering modern microservices and track record of impact across the Stores cluster in the Netherlands.

You’ll collaborate in an agile environment, contribute to best practices, and help evolve our technology platform. The role offers a competitive salary and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Technology/ITEngineering Master or Bachelor degree.
• 3+ years experience as Medior Engineer in a complex corporate tech environment.
• Strong Kotlin/Java, microservices, cloud, API and security knowledge.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event streaming is a big plus.
• Experience with Agile; fluent English; team collaboration; based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Build greenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin/Java for the Stores Cluster.
• Develop technical solutions aligned with system and business process architecture.
• Develop PoCs, write code, implement automated testing, ensure security and code quality.
• Further enhance our technical standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with a product team in agile ceremonies, code changes, deployments and production support.
• Share expertise to initiatives within the product cluster and AH Tech Platform.
• Develop the team’s skills and processes to deliver value quickly.

• Build agreenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin/Java for the StoresCluster

As Medior Engineer, you arean essential part of your product team. Your team develops andsupports multiple applications delivering one or more capabilitiesfor our brands in The Netherlands. You will work closely withourProduct Ownerand Product Architect, to develop our technologylandscape. Business technology and Solution consultants willsupport you and the rest of the team to identify requirements andfind the best possiblesolutions.

• Broadtechnical knowledge including Kotlin/Java, Microservices, Cloud(preferably Azure and OCI), API and non-functional requirementssuch as scalability and technicalsecurity;
• Knowledge on event streaming andmessaging platform (Kafka) is a bigplus;
• Knowledge and experience onAgile;
• An outstanding command ofEnglish;
