MR MARVIS is seeking a Medior Accounting Associate to help manage day-to-day accounting operations in Amsterdam. Collaborate closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate and scalable finance operations for our growing brand.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the month-end closing process, managing payments, and owning financial reporting. Overview

Help build the financial foundation of a fast-growing menswear brand. As a Medior Accounting Associate, you’ll work closely with the Team Lead Accounting as well as the Junior Accounting Associate and support day-to-day accounting operations across our growing international business. From reconciliations and reporting to invoice flows and process improvements, you’ll play an important role in keeping our finance operations accurate, scalable, and running smoothly.

What You\'ll Do

• Month-End Execution: Independently coordinate key parts of the month-end closing process, including creating accruals, cost allocations, and postings from our reimbursement and expenses tool.
• Financial Operations: Manage outgoing payments and ensure they are processed accurately, timely, and completely within the general ledger.
• Reporting Ownership: Own the CBS Statistics Netherlands reporting pipeline, guaranteeing timely and flawless submissions to Statistics Netherlands.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the first point of contact for financial matters with our suppliers and production partners in Portugal.
• Audit Support: Prepare audit deliverables for the matters under your responsibility, ensuring a smooth and transparent process.
• Collaborative Growth: Assist with ad-hoc financial requests and collaborate on cross-functional projects to help the business scale.

Essential

• Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with a solid grasp of monthly closings.
• System Savvy: Confidence working with financial systems and complex ERPs.
• Precision & Proactivity: An accurate, structured, and hands-on approach with a natural drive to improve existing processes.
• Communication: Fluency in English and the ability to act as a reliable partner for both internal teams and external suppliers.
• Mindset: A responsible and proactive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.

Nice-to-have

• Retail, e-commerce, D2C, consumer goods or multi-site experience is a strong plus.
• Proactive and comfortable in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment where processes are still being built.
• Experience with ODOO is considered a strong plus.
