Job description

At H2L Robotics, we are looking for a Mechatronics Technician to join our team.

Are you a driven Mechatronics Technician with a passion for innovative agricultural robotics? At H2L Robotics, we’re looking for an all-round technical talent who isn’t afraid to tackle challenging tasks involving our advanced robots. Will you be the linchpin of our sustainable agricultural solutions?

What do you get
  • A gross monthly salary of between €3,000 and €4,000 (scale G/8 of the Metalworking industry Collective Labour Agreement), depending on knowledge and experience, based on a full-time position of 38 hours per week, excluding 8% holiday pay.

  • A bonus scheme based on company results.

  • Travel allowance for commuting distances of more than 10 km one way.

  • 25 days’ annual leave per year, with the option to purchase additional days.

  • Your pension is arranged through PMT, in accordance with the Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement.

  • Work with multidisciplinary systems combining mechanics, electronics and software. The ideal place to take your technical skills to the next level.

  • We will cover 50% of the costs of obtaining your E (behind B) driving licence, and you’ll have the opportunity to undertake additional training to develop in your role.

  • A role in a dynamic scale-up where there’s scope for initiative, innovation and personal growth

    Who are you
    • You have an HBO/WO qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar technical discipline.

    • You enjoy applying your knowledge in a practical work environment.

    • You have 1–5 years’ relevant technical work experience.

    • You hold a Category B driving license (BE driving license is an advantage).

    • You preferably have demonstrable experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.

    • You're experienced in diagnosing and resolving mechanical problems and faults.

    • You are proficient in both Dutch and English.

    • You have good communication skills.

    • You enjoy going the extra mile when necessary.

      What will you do

As a Mechatronics Technician at H2L Robotics, you’ll have a broad and varied role where mechanical, electrical and software systems come together. Your duties will include:

Field Support: During the tulip season (March–April) and the potato season (mid-May to late July), the focus is on providing technical support to our customers. You’ll carry out ad hoc repairs and maintenance on the robots on site. You’ll do this in consultation with the support team. As well as troubleshooting to resolve issues, you’ll be our eyes and ears in the field, acting as our barometer for what is and isn’t working properly.

All-round Technical Tasks: You’ll work on building, operating and fine-tuning test set-ups. You’ll also support our production partner with any issues that arise during the construction and testing phases of the machines.

      About H2L Robotics/cropr

At H2L Robotics, we develop groundbreaking robotics solutions that are transforming the agricultural sector. Our tulip robot helps growers by precisely detecting and treating diseased plants – and is already in full production.

Our new potato robot represents the next step in sustainable agricultural technology. Using advanced sensors and machine learning, we’re making potato management more efficient and environmentally friendly. This project has just completed its first season and has enormous market potential.

We are a dynamic company with around 15 employees and offer an open and autonomous working environment. There is plenty of scope for flexibility and the freedom to organise your own work. It is therefore important that you are able to work well independently, proactively identify issues and propose solutions where you see them.

      Ready to join our team?

Not 100% sure you meet all the requirements? No problem. At H2L Robotics, we value people who like to build, test, and improve – experience is great, but motivation matters just as much.
