Job summary

Lan Handling Technologies seeks a Mechatronics Field Service Engineer to support, troubleshoot and optimize automated LAN installations across Europe. You will travel across the Benelux region and abroad, perform on-site maintenance, inspections and upgrades, and provide remote support when not traveling.

This role blends mechanical, electrical and software know-how with customer focus, problem solving and autonomy, with feedback shared to Service and Engineering teams to drive continuous

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a service or automation environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechatronic and electrical issues.
• Knowledge of servo drives, robot software, and PLCs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Isah) is a plus.
• Strong customer focus and autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

Job description

Your Week as a Mechatronics Field Service Engineer (Europe)

No two weeks are the same in this role. One week you might be supporting customers remotely from home, while the next week you are traveling across Benelux to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced LAN installations.

Your week often starts by reviewing incoming service requests and preparing for upcoming customer visits. A customer in the United States may be experiencing an issue with the software in a production line, while another customer is planning a maintenance shutdown. You coordinate priorities, review technical documentation, and make sure you have everything needed for a successful .

When you're not traveling, you provide remote support to customers. You connect to machines, analyze software, troubleshoot issues, and help customers minimize downtime. Thanks to your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems, you're able to quickly identify problems and determine the right solution.

A large part of your time is spent onsite at customer facilities. During these visits, you perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine upgrades. One day you may be replacing mechanical components, while later in the week you are commissioning a software modification or investigating an electrical issue. You enjoy the variety and challenge that comes with working on complex automated production lines. As the eyes and ears of LAN in the field, you continuously identify opportunities for improvement. You share recommendations with customers and provide valuable feedback to the Service and Engineering teams.

How you get things moving:

• Experience in a service organization related to machine building or experience with industrial automation;
• Knowledge of servo drives and knowledge of robot software (i.e. KUKA, FANUC, ABB and knowledge of PLC programming (i.e. Siemens, Rockwell, B&R);
• Knowledge and experience in analyzing and solving of mechatronic and electrical issues;
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (Isah)
• You possess competencies such as; Customer and service oriented, decisiveness, problem solving, responsibility and autonomy
