Job summary

Fortive's Eindhoven lab is seeking a Mechanical Tools/Electrical Calibration Technician to calibrate torque wrenches, calipers and micrometers, as well as Fluke network test equipment, ensuring accurate and traceable measurements.

You will follow ISO 17025, prepare calibration certificates, and record data while troubleshooting deviations and performing minor repairs. You will join a 40+ technician team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience calibrating mechanical measuring instruments.
• Hands-on with torque wrenches and dimensional measurement.
• Basic knowledge of light electronics beneficial.
• High level of accuracy and structured working approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Tools/Electrical Calibration Technician is responsible for performing accurate calibration, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical measuring instruments, with a primary focus on torque wrenches, calipers and micrometers and performing calibrations on Fluke Network test equipment. The role ensures compliance with quality standards (such as ISO 9000 and ISO 17025) and contributes to reliable and consistent measurement results.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration of mechanical measuring equipment


• Perform calibrations of Fluke Network products


• Prepare calibration certificates in accordance with applicable standards and procedures


• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical deviations or issues


• Perform minor repairs and adjustments when required


• Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025)


• Accurately record measurement data in relevant systems

Experience:

• Proven experience in the calibration of mechanical measuring instruments


• Hands‑on experience with torque wrenches and dimensional measurement is highly preferred


• Strong technical insight and problem‑solving skills


• Basic knowledge of or affinity with light electronics (preferred)


• High level of accuracy and structured working approach


• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
