Job summary

KARA Energy Systems in the Netherlands is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Work Planner / Drafter to bridge engineering, purchasing, production and assembly. You ensure designs are production-ready before manufacturing starts.

You will develop 3D models and drawings, prepare BOMs and work packages, check manufacturability, and support production with technical issues. The role offers an innovative, international project environment and an authentic Twente mentality.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MBO level 4 education in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience with a 3D CAD package, preferably Inventor.
• Technical insight and affinity for mechanical or structural engineering.
• Accurate and structured working method.
• Good command of Dutch; English and German are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and technical drawings.
• Create production and assembly drawings.
• Prepare bills of materials and work packages.
• Prepare for production and assembly.
• Check designs for manufacturability.
• Consult with engineering, production, purchasing and project management.
• Provide support with technical issues during execution.
• Contribute ideas for improvements, standardization and new solutions.
