Job summary

Isispace group in Delft, NL, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of mechanical hardware across projects. You will work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to turn concepts into robust, manufacturable designs.

You will help keep engineering data, drawings and documentation accurate and up to date, contributing to scalable, quality-driven development from concept through release, while integrating feedback from manufacturing and testing.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (internships/thesis counted).
• Structured, detail-oriented approach to documentation and configuration.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and product development from concept to release.
• Create and maintain 3D models and technical drawings.

What you'll do

• Support mechanical design and product development from concept to release.
• Create and maintain 3D models and technical drawings.
• Manage and maintain engineering documentation and data packs (drawings, BoMs, revisions, releases).
• Support smaller design scopes such as platform mechanical design.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g., thermal, systems, AIT/test) to ensure smooth integration.

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

• At least 2 years of relevant experience (internships/thesis projects count).
• A structured, detail-oriented way of working - especially around documentation and configuration.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Nice to have: experience with ESATAN, Creo, CAD, technical drawing standards, BoM/PLM or configuration management
