Job summary

Willems Baling Equipment B.v. in Hapert designs and builds packaging machines used worldwide. As a Mechanical Engineer you will translate requirements into concrete, manufacturable designs and lead improvements from concept through production drawings.

Design the foundation of our packaging machines used worldwide.As a Mechanical Engineer at Willems Baling Equipment in Hapert, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality packaging machines. While our machines are used worldwide to solve complex packaging challenges, you will translate technical requirements into smart, practical and manufacturable solutions. What will you do as a Mechanical Engineer?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play an important role in our machine-building projects. You will translate technical requirements into concrete designs and work independently on machines and machine components. You will optimise existing designs, develop new solutions and ensure that production drawings and technical documentation are prepared and managed correctly.

Throughout the design process, you will regularly coordinate with project teams, production and assembly. This ensures that your designs are technically sound, practical to manufacture and efficient to produce. As the production of drawings is largely automated, you can focus on the parts of the engineering process where your technical expertise and creativity truly make a difference.

What do you bring as a Mechanical Engineer?

You have a passion for technology and enjoy solving technical challenges. You work in a structured way, think ahead and feel at home in a project environment where collaboration and quality are important. A completed MBO or HBO qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics provides the foundation for this role.

You also have strong technical insight and knowledge of modern production methods and sheet-metal constructions. You have experience with 3D CAD software, with knowledge of Autodesk Inventor considered an advantage. Experience in machine building is preferred but not essential. You have a good command of both Dutch and English, work accurately and are eager to learn, motivated and solution-oriented.
