Job summary

Mercury is een Europese leider in bouwoplossingen en zoekt een Mechanical Construction Manager voor Amsterdam. U beheert coördinatie van MECH-werkpakketten, bewaakt veiligheid, QA, planning en kosten, en stuurt het projectteam en onderaannemers aan.

De rol vereist sterke leiderschap, hands-on betrokkenheid op de bouwplaats en vermogen om te schakelen tussen planning en uitvoering. Locatie: Amsterdam, Nederland. Een gedegen ervaring in mechanische projecten is gewenst.

Qualifications

• Ervaring met coördinatie van werktaken voor MECH-installaties.
• Vaardigheid in veiligheids- en QA-processen op de bouwplaats.
• Bewustzijn van projectplanning en kostenbeheer.

Responsibilities

• Manage the co-ordination of all MECH work packages.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor, including set up, management of and closing out of file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury Project Manager and team including set up, management and close out of file.
• Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Mercury Engineering and Client requirements.
• Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:
• Labour, Material, Plant and Equipment, Variations, Valuations
• Management of all day to day site operations
• Direct management of Mercury Engineering project team including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
• Management of the Mercury In Progress snagging system ensuring weekly punch lists where applicable.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
• Drive the Mercury Engineering culture of safety and quality through the project.
• Provide the safety and quality leadership required on all Mercury projects.
• Review the weekly progress report before it is issued to all stakeholders.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

• Valuations
• Management of all day to day site operations
• Direct management of Mercury Engineering project team including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.
• Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
• Drive the Mercury Engineering culture of safety and quality through the project.
• Provide the safety and quality leadership required on all Mercury projects.
• Review the weekly progress report before it is issued to all stakeholders. Highlight areas not available, and delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project
