About the Position
You will lead a team of mechanical fitters during assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components and systems. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and efficient execution of work.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Mechanical Fitters during assembly, installation, and maintenance work and ensure tasks are completed within set time limits.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, and apply applicable guidelines and procedures.
- Organise work, allocate tasks, resources, and monitor progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Motivate the team, contribute to a positive working atmosphere, and provide support and guidance where required.
- Report progress, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities to the Supervisor and communicate effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement of work processes and identify and implement efficiency optimisations.

Qualifications
- Completed senior secondary vocational education course in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical course.
- Extensive experience in mechanical assembly, including managerial or coordinating roles.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good organisational skills and ability to plan and coordinate work effectively.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Valid VCA VOL certificate and, where applicable, hoisting or crane certificates.
Practical Requirements
- EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands.
- Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
