Job summary

METRO Food Sourcing - Rotterdam Trading Office B.V. seeks a Commercial Sourcing & Selling Expert in Meat to join the Delft, Netherlands office (also Düsseldorf, Germany).

You will oversee supplier portfolios, manage meat category assortments, and negotiate with suppliers and customers in a fast-paced, international environment. The role requires at least 4 years in Ultra Fresh or meat industries, English fluency, and a proactive, result-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' work experience in Ultra Fresh industry (Meat industry experience appreciated)
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish/Italian/French/German appreciated
• Curious and assertive; accurate and result driven
• Promote a culture of respect and collaboration
• Experience with procurement/sourcing in meat or ultra-fresh sectors
• Ability to operate in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure procedures and processes are followed and respected
• Expertise in supplier portfolios and assortment management in assigned meat category
• Negotiate with suppliers and customers
• Keep supplier and market information up to date within the trading office network
• Manage daily business with internal and external stakeholders including price alignments, ordering, exports and documentation flows
• Collaborate across departments to deliver end-to-end customer service
