A Day in the Life

• Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations ensuring the team is working safely and following all GxP requirements.
• Operating on a rotating 7-day-a-week shift rotation, your role will involve handling the reception, packaging, and shipment of essential products for critically ill patients worldwide. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Occasional overtime may be needed, so the candidate must be ready for on-site emergencies.
• It is a requirement for the candidate to have or request “VGB” (No objection statement) screening.
• Partner with your team to guarantee that each individual enjoys a fantastic work environment at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations while ensuring safety and GxP compliance.
• Handle reception, packaging, and shipment of products for globally distributed patients; manage inventory and hazardous materials safety.
• Be available for occasional overtime and on-site emergencies as needed.

Keys to Success

Education

• Secondary education required, strong English (written and verbal), skilled in arithmetic for calculations.

Experience

• 2+ years of general warehouse experience.
• Packaging of pharmaceutical products.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers).
• Experience managing dangerous substances is advantageous.
• Experience with computers and scanning equipment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for collaborating within a team setting, while also possessing the capability to work autonomously and address challenges.
• Ability to work in cold temperature environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, and push up to 70 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.
