Job summary

A global healthcare company in Leiden is seeking two eLIMS Master Data Specialists for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on maintaining master data integrity in Quality Control processes. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with eLIMS systems and familiarity with GMP practices. Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and at least two years of experience in a regulated industry. Competitive compensation is provided with a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry.
  • Experience in managing master data and LIMS configuration projects.
  • Previous involvement in stability program setups or release testing automation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate master data sets used in QC workflows.
  • Configure eLIMS for stability studies and release testing.
  • Liaise between product managers and laboratory technicians.
  • Resolve eLIMS and master data issues quickly to minimize disruption.
  • Support documentation tasks including protocols, SOPs, reports related to master data and eLIMS configuration.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and system efficiency.

eLIMS Master Data Specialist - Quality Control (QC) Automation x2

Location: Leiden, Netherlands (Hybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 remote)

Duration: 12 month contract.

Hours: 40

Imagine your next project helping to shape and maintain the master data and configurations that keep our Quality Control (QC) processes running smoothly. This role sits at the intersection of laboratory operations, data management, and system configuration — translating testing needs into accurate eLIMS setups and ensuring master data integrity across release testing and stability studies.

We’re looking for two eLIMS Master Data Specialists.

This role involves translating technical and laboratory documents into clear, actionable eLIMS master data and configuration requirements.

This will involve:

  • Create, maintain, and validate master data sets used in QC workflows (tests, methods, sample types, lot information, reagents, etc.).
  • Configure and support the eLIMS for stability studies and release testing to ensure accurate, reliable records and compliant workflows.
  • Serve as the liaison between product managers, laboratory technicians, and the eLIMS system to ensure smooth data flow and correct system behaviour.
  • Resolve ad hoc eLIMS and master data related issues quickly to minimize operational disruption.
  • Support documentation tasks including protocols, SOPs, reports, and business correspondence related to master data and eLIMS configuration.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and system efficiency.

how to succeed.

You will have an Associate’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s/Master’s welcome but not required) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry.

You will also bring:

  • Familiarity with GMP practices and automation concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with eLIMS systems and practical knowledge of laboratory operations.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
  • Good planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset and strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles is an advantage.
  • Proactive, independent working style with attention to detail and good documentation skills.
  • Experience directly managing master data, data governance, or LIMS configuration projects.
  • Previous involvement in stability program setups or release testing automation.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 12 month contract.
