Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden seeks a Manager Maintenance Utilities to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive preventive and corrective maintenance of core utilities such as HVAC, WFI and steam in a GMP manufacturing setting.
You will balance hands-on technical support with strategic leadership, mentoring staff, and coordinating with production and other departments to improve asset reliability and implement the 5-year plan.

Are you the enthusiastic Manager Maintenance Utilities who motivates, develops, and guides a professional service‑oriented team that ensures and improves equipment reliability in the short and long term, balancing the different priorities and managing stakeholders to eventually achieve excellence?
The role is in the team of the GET Maintenance Department of over 80 FTE in Leiden, where you play a crucial role as the manager of the multidisciplinary team that improves, defines, and executes preventive and corrective maintenance of mainly utilities like HVAC, WFI, and steam. The team consists of 8 maintenance engineers and 7 technicians. The 2 main contracts of equivalent size as your own team are also within your responsibility.
If you enjoy shaping and motivating a team of professionals and craftsmen to perform, can keep the overview and hence manage the combination of daily operational responsibilities and seeing and working on the bigger picture and the longer‑term, understand a GMP environment, have a technical background, are knowledgeable of asset management, are good at managing your internal clients (peer level), and like improving performance, then this really is the job for you!
