Job summary

New Balance in Amsterdam is seeking a Marketplace Trading Specialist to support growth across our key digital accounts. You will build relationships with partners, align with wholesale and merchandising teams, and work with operations to ensure smooth account performance.

You will read market signals, set trading and merchandising priorities, deliver actionable insights from data, and contribute to campaigns and forecasts. The role offers hybrid working and exposure to premium brand initiatives.

JOB MISSION:

Reporting to the Marketplace Trading Manager, the Marketplace Trading Specialist will be responsible for supporting our trading team driving the growth and success of our key digital accounts. To succeed in this role, you will need to build strong relationships with our partners, align with our wholesale and merchandising teams to set and pursue commercial objectives and collaborate with other internal support functions such as operations to ensure your accounts are running smoothly. You will be a trader at heart, read the market, align trading and merchandising activity and be able to provide strategic recommendations for the business whilst ensuring we deliver premium brand experience.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Support Trading Manager with activities related to driving growth in our key digital accounts to build brand driven growth on these channels.
• Identify marketplace opportunities, determining the commerciality and prioritizing projects accordingly whilst managing the long-term strategic growth of the dedicated marketplaces.
• Liaising closely with the EMEA wholesale teams, to ensure alignment with their overall strategies.
• Working closely with the merchandising team to evaluate the stock opportunity and product ranging for marketplaces.
• Produce informative daily/weekly reports, marketing, and product performance.
• Provide timely, accurate and proactive analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations utilizing all available data sources.
• Support the forecasting process for digital marketplaces.
• Working closely with the Marketplaces Operations team to ensure technical and operational elements are running smoothly (fulfilment of orders is in line with agreed performance/SLA's, ensure product go-live targets are met, etc).
• Identify marketing opportunities with partners, and coordinating the requirements to support campaign launches.
• Actively seek opportunities to increase revenue.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• Relevant years of experience with marketplace and/or partner program operations.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Proficient in providing actionable insights and recommendations from reports and analysis.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable communication with senior leaders with strong influencing skills.
• Proactive mindset to understand available opportunities and business priorities.
• Able and willing to travel on occasion.
• Fluent in English, other European languages are an advantage.
