Job summary

Royal Van Lent (Feadship) is op zoek naar een Engineer Construction Arrangements die complexe ontwerpvereisten omzet in praktische constructieoplossingen voor hoogwaardige jachten. Je werkt aan geïntegreerde 3D-engineering vlakbij productie en ontwerpteams.

Een HBO/WO-achtergrond in werktuigbouw of scheepsbouw is vereist, met ervaring in scheepsbouw/jachtbouw en vloeiend Engels. Je opereert binnen een internationale, high-end productieomgeving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or vergelijkbare discipline.
• Ervaring met scheeps- of jachtbouw.
• Begrip van constructiemethoden en productieprocessen.
• Ervaring met het ontwikkelen van arrangement drawings en coördinatie van multidisciplinaire engineering.

Responsibilities

• Ontwerpen en modelleren van constructie-indelingen en 3D-modellen voor romplijnen en superstructure.
• Ondersteunen van de Project Engineer Construction Arrangements gedurende de projectlevenscyclus.
• Coördineren van interfaces tussen structurele, outfitting en mechanische disciplines.

Introductie

Help shape the structural layout of some of the world’s most advanced custom super yachts. In this role, you’ll translate complex design requirements into practical construction solutions that can actually be built.

Functie

What you will do

• Develop construction arrangement drawings and 3D models for hull and superstructure integration.
• Support the Project Engineer Construction Arrangements in delivering high-quality engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate complex interfaces between structural, outfitting and mechanical disciplines within the yacht design.
• Integrate yacht-specific equipment such as boarding platforms, gangways, cranes and other structural installations into the overall construction design.
• Assess manufacturability and installation feasibility, ensuring engineering solutions support efficient production.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and develop practical solutions while ensuring compliance with project specifications, class requirements and flag state regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and work closely with production to continuously improve engineering quality and buildability.

As an Engineer Construction Arrangements, you’ll work in an integrated 3D engineering environment on technically challenging one‑off vessels.

Functie-eisen

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline. Candidates with an MBO qualification and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience within shipbuilding or yacht building.
• Good understanding of construction methods, production processes and manufacturability.
• Experience developing arrangement drawings and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering work.
• Proficient with NX, Teamcenter, AutoCAD and preferably Cadmatic.
• Knowledge of classification society requirements and Flag State regulations.
• Able to work independently while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

What we offer

• 40 hours per week
• Up to €6000,- gross per month (based on full-time employment).
