Job summary

Kwant Controls is seeking an Implementation Specialist (Commissioning Engineer) based in Sneek. You will work on electrical and control systems for maritime instruments, traveling globally to install, test and commission equipment on ships.

You bring at least 2 years in a similar role, with a background in electrical/industrial automation, and you speak Dutch and English. A VCA certificate is preferred or you will obtain one; expect a hands-on, field-based role with international travel.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Background in electrical engineering, control engineering or industrial automation.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel 60% and work on ships worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble cabinets, panels and plates according to drawings.
• Conduct functional testing of software and equipment.
• Detect and resolve malfunctions in collaboration with engineers.
• Execute official test protocols in factory and on site.
• Install, configure and test systems on board ships.
• Train and instruct the ship's crew.
• Resolve malfunctions on-site and remotely.
