Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Zoetermeer is seeking a Process Engineer (Manufacturing) to work with production teams to enhance process reliability and reduce recurring issues. The role blends shopfloor problem solving with project-based improvements, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a BSc/MSc in Food Technology or Mechanical Engineering, with 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong root-cause analysis, and fluent Dutch and good English. This on-site position runs for 1 year.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Food Technology or Mechanical Engineering
• 1–3 years in production/manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with continuous improvement and root-cause analysis
• Fluent Dutch and good English

Responsibilities

• Improve safety, quality, performance and process reliability in production
• Collaborate with operators and team leaders on the shopfloor to identify and solve issues
• Coach teams on documenting disruptions and downtime; drive improvement projects
• Lead investigations into deviations; identify root causes and preventive actions
• Represent department in projects to ensure production and quality requirements are met
• Support department manager and cover responsibilities during absence
