Job summary

NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading international manufacturing organization to recruit a Technical Operator for automated production lines in the Netherlands. You will ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently and in compliance with GMP, recording data in SAP/MES and supporting continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in production, hands-on experience with automated equipment, and can work rotating 3- and 5-shift schedules in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated production equipment.
• Experience following SOPs in GMP or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or MES systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in rotating 3-shift and 5-shift operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated production equipment and lines.
• Perform line set-ups, changeovers, cleaning, and production clearances.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Make mechanical adjustments and support equipment optimization.
• Record production data in SAP and MES systems.
• Conduct root cause investigations and support continuous improvement.
• Work within strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Operator (Automated Productions), you'll be at the heart of the production process, ensuring automated equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll combine hands-on technical skills with analytical problem-solving to keep operations performing at their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and monitoring automated production equipment and manufacturing lines.
• Performing line set-ups, changeovers, cleaning activities, and production clearances.
• Troubleshooting technical and process-related issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
• Making mechanical adjustments and supporting equipment optimization activities.
• Recording and verifying production data in SAP and MES systems.
• Conducting root cause investigations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working within strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking proactive professionals who enjoy taking ownership, have a strong technical mindset, and can remain calm when tackling operational challenges.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with automated production equipment.
• Experience following SOPs and working within GMP or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or MES systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work in a rotating 3-shift and 5-shift operation.

Nice to Have

• VAPRO B, MBO Technical Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Knowledge of mechatronics, pneumatics, electronics, or mechanical systems.
• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, food, chemical, or other regulated industries.
• Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience.
