Job summary

Wesco, a global leader in business-to-business distribution and logistics, seeks an experienced facilities professional in Almere, Netherlands. The role focuses on optimizing capital spending, coordinating repairs on leased sites, and ensuring LEAN practices across branches.

You will drive efficiency in site layouts, asset protection and project execution. The ideal candidate has senior facilities experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a solid background in facility design

Responsibilities

• Reviews and recommends capital spending requests for exterior signage, building repairs, equipment, carpeting and furniture.
• Coordinates building repairs and upgrades on leased sites with landlords in accordance with established leases.
• Reviews layouts for new sites and relocations.
• Makes sure branches have explored LEAN options.
• Works with equipment manufacturers to utilize buying power for cost efficient purchase.
• Assesses long-term needs for facilities and equipment to protect assets and mission.
• Manages and executes assigned projects.
• Acts as a resource for WESCO management or facilities topics.
• Represents company to various customers, suppliers, and constituents.
• Works with sites on environmental issues, including mold remediation and audits.
• Ensures upkeep of company owned facilities.

Job Requirements

Experience

Senior facilities responsibility or facilities construction projects, preventative management and repair management - 3 years required

Education

High School Degree or Equivalent required

Bachelors’ Degree preferred

Working Environment

• General Office – Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

Physical Requirements

• Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
• Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
