Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to improve asset reliability and lifecycle across the Shell account. You will collaborate with operations, technicians and stakeholders to maximize availability and reduce downtime.

You will apply data and best-practice maintenance strategies to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation, supporting Shell's objectives. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HBO work level or MBO 3/4 technical qualification.
• 3-5 years in maintenance/reliability engineering or asset management.
• Experience with reliability methodologies (FMEA, RCM, RCA, predictive or risk-based maintenance).
• Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance KPIs in industrial/energy/critical environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate data into improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excel; Power BI is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.

As part of CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services team, you will use data, technical expertise and best-practice maintenance strategies to ensure assets operate safely, efficiently and reliably while supporting Shell's operational objectives.

What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize preventive, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance strategies for critical assets and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions to reduce recurring failures.
• Support asset lifecycle planning, maintenance planning and reliability improvement projects.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams, contractors and stakeholders to solve complex reliability and maintenance challenges.
• Drive maintenance performance and data quality through effective use of CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo or similar systems.

What You'll Need

• HBO work and thinking level or a completed technical qualification at MBO 3/4 level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Maintenance Engineering, Asset Management or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, asset management or a similar technical environment.
• Experience with reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCM, RCA, predictive maintenance or risk-based maintenance.
• Experience working with CMMS platforms and maintenance KPIs, ideally within industrial, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data centre or other critical environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical data into practical improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage.
