Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a temporary Maintenance Engineer to manage GMP water systems (WDI/WFI) and HVAC, BMS & EMS assets. You will ensure high reliability, quality, and cost efficiency for production utilities, while coordinating with the BSO and multidisciplinary teams.

The role involves on-site work with a transition to hybrid after start. Top candidates have GMP experience, strong editing of P&IDs, and knowledge of SAP PM or CCMS systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a highly regulated (pharmaceutical/GMP) industry.
• Expertise with GMP systems and requirements.
• Expertise with WDI/WFI, HVAC systems and its controls strategies (BMS, primary requirement for HVAC).
• Expert in reading and editing P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering for long-term investment plans and CAPEX reservations.
• Present investment plans during budget rounds with input from the BSO.
• Manage changes (MoC) during design, commissioning and qualification with data-backed analysis.
• Support the BSO with installations meeting reliability and quality requirements.
• Identify implementation activities for area of expertise and execute when applicable.
• Support engineering projects and ensure operational readiness and GMP compliance of HVAC, BMS and EMS systems.
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Johnson & Johnson requirements (GMP, EHS, FIN, Manufacturing Asset Management).

Maintenance Engineer - Clean Utilities WFI/WDI and HVAC

Work Mode: Onsite initially, then it will revert to hybrid working with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

As a temporary Maintenance Engineer (ME) you support the Business System Owner (BSO) for the clean water systems (WDI, WFI) and HVAC, BMS & EMS. You are responsible for managing the GMP water and HVAC, BMS & EMS asset package, so that the current and future installation availability of the production installation is adequate. This means that the utility systems are delivered with optimal reliability, quality and costs.

• Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering department for long-term investment plans and CAPEX reservations.

Assessing the impact and feasibility of the proposed change for their area of expertise, ensuring that the change is supported by relevant data and summarizing the acceptability of the data in support of the change.
• Support the BSO with installations that meet the reliability and quality requirements
• Identifying required implementation activities for their area of expertise and carry out implementation activities if applicable
• Support engineering projects and be actively involved in the handover stage to ensure operational readiness and GMP compliance of HVAC, BMS and EMS systems.
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Johnson & Johnson requirements (GMP, EHS, FIN, Manufacturing Asset Management)

• Expert in reading and editing P&IDs.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details
• Excellent communication skills, also in English.
• Knowledge of SAP PM or other CCMS systems is a plus.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for 12 months.
