Job summary
Talisman seeks an experienced Mainframe Automation Manager/Specialist for a large-scale migration on a z/OS environment. Qualifications
- 10–20 years of Mainframe experience.
- Hands-on Mainframe automation experience.
- Extensive knowledge of CA OPS/MVS and IBM System Automation (IBM SA).
- Proven experience with CA-to-IBM automation tooling migrations.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining REXX scripts. Experience with z/OS, JCL and Mainframe batch processing.
- Ability to manage complex technical migrations or design scalable automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration from CA OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation.
- Analyse and convert legacy REXX automation scripts into IBM System Automation solutions.
- Design and implement automation strategies and migration frameworks.
- Develop, maintain and optimise Mainframe automation processes.
- Automate operational tasks, monitoring and incident-management activities.
- Improve system reliability, availability and operational efficiency.
- Work with z/OS, JCL, OPC/MVS and Mainframe batch processing.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement technical changes through the CAB process.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure a smooth migration.
