Job summary

The Social Hub in Amsterdam is seeking a Meeting & Events Waiter/Waitress to set up spaces, welcome groups and guide guests with calm, friendly service. You’ll work closely with the wider team to ensure events run smoothly and guests feel well cared for.

You’ll help serve food and beverages, manage event flow and adapt to changing schedules with a positive, professional attitude. Fluency in English and Dutch is expected, and collaboration is valued in our dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience or strong interest in events
• Clear communication with guests, organisers and colleagues
• Enjoy structured setups and active service
• Able to adapt quickly to changing schedules and group needs
• Fluent in English and Dutch; additional languages nice to have
• Attentive, organized and calm under pressure
• Enjoy collaborative team work

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting and event spaces according to plans
• Welcome groups and guide them through events with confidence
• Serve food, drinks and coffee-break items with a friendly, polished approach
• Coordinate with colleagues to maintain timing and event flow
• Keep spaces clean and ready for the next session
• React quickly to special requests or last-minute changes
• Assist with post-event breakdown and resets
