Job summary

Alewijnse is seeking a commissioning-focused engineer for maritime and industrial projects. You will test, commission, and resolve malfunctions on board luxury superyachts, working with shipyards and other parties.

You should have strong electrical engineering or embedded software experience and the ability to work independently within project teams. Responsibilities include evaluating installations, conducting functional tests, implementing changes, and documenting test data per protocol.

Qualifications

• HBO or MBO degree with several years of relevant work experience in Electrical Engineering or Embedded software engineering.
• Experience reading drawings, datasheets, and manuals.
• Ability to work with complex systems (LAN, WLAN, audio/video, lighting, security, CCTV, telephone, access control, satellite comms).

Responsibilities

• Check the technical soundness of installations and systems, resolving any design or installation issues.
• Functional testing of plant and equipment according to the commissioning protocol.
• Implement changes to installations or control systems as required.
• Collect and document test data in reports according to the protocol.
• Perform IO testing and final inspections.
