Olympia Uitzendbureau zoekt een logistiek medewerker voor een modern datacentrum in Eemshaven, met verantwoordelijkheid voor laden/ lossen, materiaalcontrole en rack-installaties. Werktijden zijn twee ploegen; lange termijn met kans op vaste aanstelling bij de klant.

De rol vereist fysiek werk, Nederlandse/Engelse taalvaardigheid, rijbewijs en bereidheid VOG en VCA-certificaat te halen. Salaris tussen €14,99 en €16,48 per uur, exclusief toeslagen.

Qualifications

• Fysiek in staat zware goederen te tillen en te verplaatsen.
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en/of Engels is vereist.
• Rijbewijs en eigen vervoer.
• Kan in aanmerking komen voor een VOG.
• Bereid om een VCA-certificaat te halen.

Responsibilities

• Laad- en loswerkzaamheden met zware goederen.
• Materialen controleren en verplaatsen naar de juiste locatie.
• Monteer en ondersteun bij het installeren van rack-systemen in de datacenters.
• Ondersteunen van logistieke processen en zorgen voor soepele bedrijfsvoering.

Job description

Wat ga je doen?

As a logistics employee in the Eemshaven, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly in the data centre. You’ll be working in a modern data centre for a major American client.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks: you’ll be loading and unloading heavy goods, which can sometimes be quite a challenge. But don’t worry, you’ll be working alongside great colleagues who’ll lend a hand when needed. You will also check materials and move them to the correct location, where your eye for detail will come in handy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for assembling and partially installing various racks within the data centre and assisting with other logistics processes. Together with the team, you will ensure that everything runs smoothly in the data centre.

You will work in two shifts, and working days are mainly Monday to Friday, but you may also be asked to help out at weekends to support your colleagues.This is a long-term role (expected to last at least one year) and there is also the possibility of being taken on by the client on a permanent contract.

The client is a global provider of transport and logistics services, operating in over 90 countries. You will be working for this client at a modern high-tech data centre in Eemshaven. This is a key location where technical expertise and logistics come together. The data centre serves a major American client, so you’ll be part of something big and international!

The location is easily accessible by car from Winschoten, Delfzijl, Stadskanaal and Veendam. There are free parking spaces at the main entrance. There is a relaxed atmosphere within the team and you will often work in groups of three on the assembly and installation. Safety is the highest priority within the organisation and rules and regulation must be followed. At the client’s site, there is the opportunity to apply for internal vacancies after one year of service, and there is also the possibility of being taken on permanently. You can obtain your VCA certificate, allowing you to continue developing your skills in an environment where there is always plenty to do; whilst at work, you can enjoy free breakfast, lunch and snacks. What you bring to the role:

• You’re fit and strong enough to lift and move heavy items. This ensures everything ends up in the right place.
• You have a proficient level of Dutch and/or English. This is important for working well with your colleagues and following the rules and regulations.
• You have a driving licence and your own transport.
• You can apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
• You are willing to obtain your VCA certificate.
